The new management agreement (2022-2025) between the Flemish Community and the Flemish Audiovisual Fund includes a requirement for the VAF to encourage inclusion in the audiovisual and gaming sectors. VAF will pursue a policy that encourages diversity and inclusion while respecting the individuality of the creative process. In close cooperation with the audiovisual sector, VAF is working towards better representation in VAF-supported productions (both publicly and behind the scenes). The VAF is also committed to diversity in its own organisation. In the coming period, VAF will focus explicitly on gender equality. To this end, it will undertake measures such as data collection, raising awareness, applying an inclusive approach to its own work (gender balance in juries) and interrogating the inclusivity of applications.
